Renaissance Now Theatre & Film

Renaissance Now produces work that develops both new writers/directors/auteurs in theatre and film seeking to explore new form and to expose relevant concerns through the interpretation of classics.

Based in New York City for 7 years, the company has been responsible for producing a number of  film shorts, and established a producing relationship with the Bohemian Hall last year, producing A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet, with contemporary takes on the production.  Played in the gardens, July 2009.  Produced a number of staged readings developing new works in film and theatre.

Formerly New Renaissance Theatre, producing new writing and Shakespeare at the Rose Wagner Center for Performing Arts in Salt Lake City, and Sam Shepard festival at the Center Stage Theatre in Santa Barbara, California
