“The Renaissance Now Theatre & Film Company had an interesting take on Shakespeare’s work at the Lion Theater. This Utah based Theater company put forth a well directed, well costumed production. Adding to the delight was the modest set, lighting and sound design. In this two hour play, the story was better presented than the one I saw this year on Broadway starring Daniel Craig. More steadfast to Shakespeare’s work, director Kathy Curtiss made the story move at an even pace in the first act. The second act was much more brisk and resonant. While not all the acting being great, Mira Kocherhans as Lady Macbeth and Adam Argyle as MacDuff were noticeably good in their roles. Macbeth Redux is only in town for a few days but I am hopeful that they will be coming back to New York City soon.”
